Discover Bengaluru through Art Class 1
As you all know that we have been holding regular workshop
since September 2010. I had planned the
workshop for 29th and 30th September, but I had to postpone the event for 7th
October. Also for a change this time I
combined sketching and water color batches together. Hence the name Discover Bengaluru through Art, It has a combination of sketching session
where Senthil Kumar shared all secrets of drawing, while V.G.Venugopal handled the Art of
Water colour. It result of combining both batch is more in No.s. When in large group, participants are
motivated by seeing others working and by looking at other’s work.

While the sketching group moved inside the archeology museum
to sketch the iconography, the water colour group continued with a round of
sketching and coloring them. All
participants inside the museum were instructed to observe the sculptures there
after a demonstration by the instructor,
this time it was quick drawing of
Ganesha with charcoal. Each
participants were instructed to choose one idol and finish them. Some found it easy after seeing the demonstration
and some struggled.
While the group inside the museum struggled, the group
outside were also struggling with their first water colour work. Being the first class all of them
experimented with the nearby plants and trees.
We ended the session at 1:30.
